A body of work in progress, called Anatomy of Invention, compares the evolution of species with the evolution of human tools and inventions, the morphology of either being determined by a process of chance, mutation, and selection. Tools generally function as extensions of or specific improvements on the body. In each piece in this series I focus on one human tool or invention and recreate that tool or invention out of human biological forms which share a common function.
